t60p is 3.0gbs SATA "compatible"?

Hey guys. I just got a new Seagate drive after the one in my t60p failed after about a year and a half (Pfft. Thanks for the warranty that lasts 4 years less than the retail version, Lenovo.)

My question is this: The new drive can run Sata 3.0gbps transfer. I know the old drive was 1.5gbps.

I also know that if the computer can't run it at 3.0, it will go down to 1.5gbs and the drive runs just fine.

Does anyone know if it DOES support 3.0 and if so do you have to enable anything or do anything to make it so?

It does not matter, unless you have one of those new Intel SSDs that are actually fast enough to exceed 1.5 and thus need 3.0. I think the hardware support is there, don't know how you can tell if it's enabled though.

Mine says in the driver details:
ICH7 controller. According to something which I read, sata 3.gbps is really 3000 MHz and 300MB/s, meanwhily sata 1.5 is 1500mhz and 150MB/s.

According to everest report, I'm at 300MB/s, so this one supports sata 3gbps
