Running T60P with Vista 64 and Access Connections 5. Both with latest updates.

I have the Gadget installed on the Sidebar

When I start a WiFi or Cell Phone connection, it displays a message:

"Thinkvantage Access connections Service GUI helper Module has stopped working"

T60p, vista ultimate x64 and everything works ok, including the gadget in sidebar.

Are you running with administrator account?

No, I run as a user. AC should not require Admin for normal operation.

Okay I'll bite, just which "Gadget" are we talking about here? As far as I know Access Connections 5 doesn't come with a "gadget"

Thanks

There's an Access Connection gadget for Vista's sidebar and another for Power Manager, both from Lenovo.

Are these down loadable somewhere?

They came with Access Connections (I have version 5.02). Also the Battery came with Power Manager (I have v 2.36).

They're automatically added to vista sidebar's gadget gallery.

Thanks I guess I need to look in the Gadget Gallery more often than I do.

Thank you

I cannot much comment because:
1. I have a Vist 64-bit T61p (close enough) and AC 5.02, and
2. I ripped everything Vista stands for out by the roots and destroyed the stuff.

So that: Access Connections works highly reliably for me.

So, then I expect the problem here may be as much a Vista problem as an AC problem. I have a problem with the GUI (the GUI doesn't support a non-Aero interface) and I have reported that to Lenovo. But that would not explain the problem here.

I have a T61 and X61 running standard Microsoft retail Vista Ultimate x64 loads with pretty much all the ThinkVantage stuff added, and AC 5.02 is running fine on it, so I doubt its any underlying problem with Vista itself.
