Can't see internetafter sleep - switch btwn wireless & w

#1 Post by mitasol » Thu Nov 06, 2008 4:26 am

I have a T61p as per my sig. I purchased this machine about 11 months ago with Vista Ultimate installed. I use the machine at home on a wireless network and at work on a wired network. When I first purchased the machine it would quite happily switch between the two after sleep mode. I would close the lid at home and then take it to work, open the lid and it would connect ok and I'd keep going. Sometime after Vista SP1 this stopped happening; it may not be SP1, there were a number of Thinkvantage type updates at the same time. Now when I change locations, after sleeping the machine, I get a connection to the router but nothing beyond that, I have to restart the laptop which sort of defeats the whole idea sleeping the machine!

Any ideas?
Scott

If you have Access Connection 5.02 go back to AC 4.52, which is on the Lenovo driver matrix. This has eliminated many of the problems with AC 5.02. Loss of wireless, freezes, poor GUI are present on my R51 with XPP + SP3 and on my T60 with Vista Home Premium +SP1 with AC 5.02. Lenovo knows of the AC 5.02 problems but has yet to release a new version of AC.
