T61p: Multiple FDE Drives Possible?

Hey all. Three questions:

Is it possible to use two FDE drives simultaneously?

Are they properly recognized in the BIOS?

Can I use any FDE drive, or is there a limited list of supported drives?

I had no luck getting this to work as this renders cloned drive unbootable on any older thinkpads like T42, R52. I have ultrabay PATA to SATA bridge...
