Hi,
I missed to check that setting. I just done that setting from BIOS and saw diff.
But still not that fresh brightness compare to R61
I think it's due to nit's what you mentioned.
I went through your reply to that other thread.
Is it required to change that data cable which goes from board to LCD panel? I dont have much knoledge about TFT's.
What is your suggesion? If I play games etc I dont feel any dull display but just when openeing IE in both laptop's R61 and in T60.
I can describe both TFT's brightness like
R 61 - Looks like when we glow new tube light
T 60 - yellowish dull display
But I still prefer to work on 15" square TFT of my T60 which is nice compare to 14" WXGA screen of R61 .
Still would like to hear from you if any affordable solution is there to repair it? In India availibility of spares isnt much and its expensive I'll gove a try.
[ By any chance I can exchange anything inside between those 2 laptops? I have almost 2 years 6 months warranty left for R61 laptop

R61 model is - 7735 AE7

Your
ThinkPad T60 1953-DAU has a
150-nits brightness LCD according to page 144 in the
ltwbook (official title being: "Personal Systems Reference, Lenovo ThinkPad, Notebooks 2005 to present - withdrawn, November 2008 - Version 348") while 14" WXGA R61's have
200-nits (i.e. somewhat brighter) LCD's; see the ltwbook again, e.g. page 78.
