Well i've looked everywhere and nothing can help me get past this. It seems like a really simple issue too, what happens is that when I try to log on (using either the password or a fingerprint, both work), it starts to log on but then goes to the user enrollment screen. It then tells me I need to enroll fingerprints (which I obviously have done, since I can log in with my fingerprint, but doing so still takes me to this stage), but when I attempt to enroll fingerprints it tells me my username cannot be used for a new passport. Which is fine, because I know my account is fine, my background even loads. The problem is that nothing I have tried so far will let me get past this screen. It always comes up and tries to get me to enroll fingerprints.
I have tried to load in safe mode, but the F8 way does not work to do so, and anything else i've read was just confusing (i've read to go into boot.ini and make safemode a boot option, but I have NO idea what that means). Does anyone know how to get into safe mode another way?
Going into the thinkvantage bios setup also doesn't work, i've tried turning fingerprint id off in there but it doesn't do anything. I've also tried logging on with an admin password, but somehow that doesn't work either.
It is a school computer (and it started doing this the day after we went on break), but we don't go back for a month, so i'd like to get it fixed before then, and I don't see why the software they put on it would have to do with this. Anyone know how to maybe uninstall the fingerprint software completely without having to log on (which I can't do)? Or how to get past this somehow, because I am really stumped by why this would happen (and nothing could possibly have done this, no adware or any new hardware installed, it just randomly appeared some day). Any help would be really, really appreciated, because this seems like it shouldn't be too hard to fix at all.
Thanks in advance for any help.

RE: fingerprint reader
Is there a way to disable the actual reader in the BIOS (there is in the t400, but I need a t6x user to help here)? That might allow you to get passed the enrollment screen. Also, do you have any way to go into the files on your computer (hooking it into another computer perhaps, or a live CD if you know how to use one.) Have you tried simply pressing ctrl-alt-del? If that works you can click File>Run and type explorer.
