Intel drivers for the 965/X3100 integrated graphics on T61.

Hi guys.

Has anyone with a T61 with Intel graphics used the drivers from Intel ? The Lenovo ones are quite old now, I've tried the drivers from Intel's site, for Vista64 and they work fine, and seem a bit faster, but..

When the machine is on battery, the display will randomly blank for a second and then come back to normal, randomly, this doesn't happen on AC power.

I know you're supposed to use Lenovo's packaged drivers, but I've found the newer ones from Intel to be a bit faster. This isn't for gaming, just 2D performance seems improved.

Has anyone had this issue, or even tried the Intel ones?

Hi,
I too have tried the Intel X3100 driver on my Vista x64. It does runs faster, but the new driver from Intel also breaks the support of OSD. So I went back to the lenovo one. And waiting for them to update the X3100 driver for Vista x64 ASAP.

I can live without the OSD, maybe I'll uninstall the OSD stuff and see if it's that that's causing the screen blanking, though I doubt it.
