Fresh Install of XP on T61

I am not able to locate the thread which explains how to reinstall XP on my T61 using recovery disks. Can someone help?

put disk, boot from it, follow instructions .. that's about it
T61: 14.1" 1400x1050, T9500 @ 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM CL4, nVidia 140m @ 600/925 MHz, Samsung 830 256GB, DVD-rec, 5300agn, FP, BT, 6-cell, clean XP Pro

Why not just use the recovery option that will reinstalled the software as it was shipped?
by using the f12 or f11 during boot up
