Gen 1 T61/p 14.1 SXGA+ (Non-WS) Palmrest w/ FP FRU Needed

Hello All,

I scoured the forums and Google for this question, but was unable to find the exact correct answer.

Does someone know what the FRU/CRU number is to the Palmrest assembly (including the fingerprint reader) of the T61/p 14.1 SXGA+ model, Generation 1 of the T61/p series? Specifically this is the one where if one ordered the machine online, it would include the IBM logo rather than the new black 'Thinkpad T Series' logo. However, they stopped providing the IBM logo on the 1.5 Generation (with newer processors, namely Penryn) models and just distributed them with the new logo.

The T60/p 14.1" palmrest differs a little, so that does NOT work. I already tried

Such questions are easily answered by the Hardware Maintenance Manuals, one for standard screen T61 can be found here:

According to it, a palm rest assembly with fingerprint reader, with IBM logo is FRU 42W2957.

Palm rest assembly with fingerprint reader, with ThinkPad logo (T series) is FRU 42W3820 on the other side.
