Part numbers for t61 14" 4:3 systemboards ?

Hi everyone.
I have just finished doing some modding on a t60p and was wondering where I could go from here.
I am tempted by transplanting a t61 14." 4:3 system board into my 15" t60p case etc..
The UXGA screen is just too good to loose and I want to explore my options.
Does anyone know the part numbers of those very specific systemboards ?
thanks, emconuk

I have narrowed it down to :
42W7648 (Intel graphics)
42W7649 (Nvidia graphics) <<<<
42W7650 (Nvidia graphics) <<<<
are these the systemboards that members have used ?
I am not fussed about having the best graphics, the just the coolest temperature wise.
anyone with an ATI v5200 based T60p will understand why !
IBM spares want £170.51 for 42W7648

You want the one with Intel integrated graphics then...not only because of the temps, but also because of nVidia GPU failures...

I placed a T61p planar in my T60p and it's been a wonderful combo. Like you, I wanted a more powerful machine, but didn't want to lose the screen. I used FRU 42W7874. AFAIK, this is one of the newer revisions that shipped from Lenovo with the Penryn CPU. The older revisions throw an error code when they are paired with a Penryn (there is a thread on here about this issue). As far as the temps with the NVIDIA GPU, they have been similiar to the ATI temps w/ the T60p.

Ck51010,
Do you happen to know what the fastest supported CPU is for your motherboard? Also, can your motherboard accept P-series CPUs?

His signature already answered your questions. I am interested in knowing where to get a 42W7874 planar now. Does anybody have a clue?

Parts for the ultimate 15” T60 UXGA FlexView w/T61(p) mobo? I am also very interested in this motherboard (for the very same application as you!), but I don't know this:
Will this motherboard with an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (GMA X3100) actually support an internal UXGA (1600x1200) LCD?
If you are able (and willing!) to share any confirmed information on this issue, I would very much appreciate that - thanks in advance!
Johan

IBM service parts as a last resort. They are selling 42W7874 for £425.11 inc VAT + £15 p&p.
There is also a guy in Malaysia on ebay with the ithinker username. He may be able to source one for you.

I have abandoned this idea at the moment.
I am thinking more of custom building a T9300 x61 instead as a linux hacking deck.
