error in "System Toolbox" info?

I was looking at the detailed system specs page in the "Lenovo System Toolbox" utility-- very useful btw-- and I noticed that it reports the maximum supported memory for my T60p 2613-CTO at 2.00 GB-- I'm assuming this must just be an error? Perhaps it means for each DIMM slot? I currently have two 1 GB modules installed, and it lists "Total Physical Memory" at 2.00 GB and the same for "Maximum Supported Memory."
Just curious if others see the same thing? Since RAM is so cheap now I was planning on upgrading to 4 GB-- which I realize really means 3 GB -- and I want to make sure that this is a mistake.

apologies for the bump, but I'm just curious if someone with a T60p and the System Toolbox installed could report how the app is listing their "maximum supported memory"-- I just want to make sure this is an error in the software and not something else.
I'd be particularly interested in hearing from someone who has 2GB RAM installed.

This is what I see with a 2007-CQ8 T60p:

Total Number of DIMM slots 2
So the same as you, I guess.

ok that makes me feel better....thanks for replying; this is clearly an issue with the software, as these systems support up to 4 GB RAM (not all addressable, of course)

All T60 models support 2x2GB maximum, no matter what. Windows XP and Vista 32-bit are able to use about 3GB of it.

One can install 2+2 GB of system memory, but
regardless of OS only about 3GB will be utilized by the system due to hardware limitations (already covered in a sticky).

thanks for the clarifications guys, but I'm just wondering if there's a bug in this "Toolbox" app with reporting memory-- based on the replies by basketb and mixz1, it seems this may be the case with the T60 but not the T61

Check also the link I posted above. Yup, there seems to be some bug in some of the versions of System Toolbox. Lenovo may have fixed that in the mean while. Maybe it would be useful if we can compare the versions...
