Mushkin 8GB ram 1.5 volt versus Kingston's & Crucial's 1.8v

I've googled and searched this forum and can't seem to find an answer, so here I go.
Newegg added a new product today. I've been waiting for prices to drop below $200 for 4GB sticks for my T61p. Newegg has had the Kingston for $315 for each 4GB stick and the Crucial for $265 for each 4GB stick. Both are 1.8 volts.
Now today, Mushkin is on the newegg website. They have TWO 4GB sticks (8GB total) for $369.99, yet they say 1.5 volts. Mushkin part number 996685.

Here's the manufacturer's product page:

My questions are:
1. Will the Mushkin work in my T61p? I'm fairly certain dual channel is supported, but not so sure about this lower voltage ram. I'm using a non-widescreen 14.1" T61p.
2. Will there be a performance difference between this and the higher voltage sticks?
