help: t60 dock/undock behaviour problem

im sure its a config issue somewhere but when i undock my t60 (connected to a dell 24" running at 1920x1200), it changes the screen res to 1400x1050 which is correct for the panel on the laptop itself.
however when i dock it back, it doesnt output to the monitor (only the laptop's screen) and if i shut it down when its undocked, when i boot next in the dock, it keeps the 1400x1050 res.
what am i doing wrong?

I have the exact same setup as you. I am using windows vista. I used presentation director to setup my configuration. I use the 24" as my primary desktop. Once I set it up in Pres Director once and applied that scheme once, it goes to that config every time that I dock lappy. Also to note, I do not have the "apply this theme when docked" option checked. I don't know how or why, but it just changes to the last config that was used for that monitor.
Let me know what you come up with. If you have no luck, reply back with the OS you are using, and your graphics adapter (x1400, v5250, etc)
