T61 startup issue

When starting my T61, the pointer is frozen and the keyboard won't work about 30% of the time when it gets to the desktop. The only fix I have found is to shut it down and reboot. This has been going on for months. The external mouse still works usually. Any ideas?

Have you tried manually reinstalling the Lenovo power management driver, Lenovo System Interface driver, Lenovo synaptics/unltranav driver? There are similar reports for such issues around.

I had the same issue. I think it was the audio drivers. Reinstalled them and haven't had any problems since.
