Connecting T60 to TV

Hey everyone,
I have a T60 notebook with only a VGA output to connect to a monitor. I was wondering if there was any way to connect this to a TV that does not have a VGA input. In other words, connect it to a Composite, S-video or Component video input.

I searched around a bit for this same topic but didn't see it on the forums. If I'm mistaken, go ahead and delete this thread.

Thanks

I never used vga to s-video cable personally since i have one in unit, but i heard that it is rather problematic peace of equipment due to GPU compatability...

Search for something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/EFORCITY-VGA-S-Vi ... B000P3UB24

IMO, you should be happier with PC express card that does the same (or port replicator)...

Such a simple cable won't work... You need an active converter between VGA and RCA/SVIDEO... These cost quite a bit more ($20 and upwards), but still very reasonable.

I am sure some folks here who have used similar devices in the past will be able to recommend a couple. Stay tuned...

Yes, my T61p needed an active converter box to convert the VGA signal to s-video or composite video. The VGA to composite cable adapters ($2.00) don't work! You'll need to spend about $30-$35 (plus shipping) on e-bay. There's plenty of them there but they all change from week to week.

Good luck!
