T61p TrackPoint slow after hibernation.

Hey guys,
I'm experiencing an extremely frustrating behavior with my beloved ThinkPad. Any time I resume it from hibernation (or sleep, standby, whatever else you want to call suspending it), my TrackPoint is unbearably stiff and slow. It's pretty much akin to adjusting your mouse speed to the lowest setting. The touch pad and my USB mouse still function fine, however.
This happens every time, not intermittently. Once occurring, none of the settings in the mouse control panel seem to solve the problem. The only way to fix the TrackPoint is to restart the machine. After a clean boot, the TrackPoint goes back to zipping through my screen as it should.
I downloaded a new UltraNav driver via System Update but it seems to have made no difference. This is a factory install of Vista Ultimate and I have no dodgy 3rd party keyboard and mouse software or anything. Any suggestions?
