SSD and UltraBay HDD

#1 Post by animefans » Tue Mar 17, 2009 1:58 pm

For those of you who have SSD installed, and also put your HD in UltraBay, what is your SATA setting in BIOS: compatibility or AHCI?

I have OCZ Vertex 120GB, and I am debating whether to set BIOS as AHCI or not

AFAIK, OCZ SSDs should be run on compatibility mode.

This is what I read as well, but my Vertex easily BSOD if I set it to compatibility mode
Just let it idle, and it'll crash eventually (within 1 hour I think)

I am now having it set to AHCI, and even run 2 copies of folding@home for hours and hours. No crash!
