Which T60 have Flexview SXGA+ WWAN (ready)?
I wonder which T60 models have a Flexview display with SXGA+ (I want to use only ATI x1300 as its cool) and have a WWAN card installed which can be unlocked or are at least WWAN ready? Is there a list of these models available for shopping? I am also interested in european WWAN which is called UMTS.
If it is not possible to get such a list: As much as I read here in these forums there are some models which motherboard has a wwan card connector. Is there a list of these models vailable for shopping? In this case i have to buy the card and the antennas, right?

According to this pdf these T60(p) have build-in wwan:
2007-5SU AT&T x1300 T60
2007-58U Verizon x1300 T60
2007-7GU AT&T x1400 T60
2007-74U Verizon x1400 T60
2623-D3U Verizon x1400 T60
2623-DBU Verizon FireGL V5200 T60
2623-DCU Verizon FireGL V5200 T60
2007-9FU AT&T *T60p
2007-94U Verizon *T60p
2623-DDU Verizon *T60p
Do only these models have a SIM card slot and a connector for wwan cards on motherboard? Or are there other T60(p) models out there that are WWAN ready?

I own a 2007 94U, so I can verify the accuracy of that model having WWAN.

Anything with Verizon card will be absolutely useless in Europe regarding WWAN.
AT&T card can be unlocked, or replaced with a European card.
You might have to use the altered BIOS, though.
My suggestion would be to obtain such a machine in Europe, and not in U.S.
Hope this helps.

Re: Which T60 have Flexview SXGA+ WWAN (ready)?
I bought a 2007 model without a wwan card and my bios asks me whether to activate or deactivate wwan. If you open the T60 you see the place where the wwan adapter should be. Unfortunately, there is no adapter installed on motherboard.

Re: Which T60 have Flexview SXGA+ WWAN (ready)?
But wouldn't the mod be required on either case?
The way I see it, the BIOS mod is to circumvent a lock feature that prevents certain (all?) non-OEM adapters from being used. Kinda like the 2010 error on the T43s for all non-OEM drives. It shouldn't matter which card was there to begin with, since they are all fundamentally standard mini-PCIe adapters. Am I wrong?

Re: Which T60 have Flexview SXGA+ WWAN (ready)?
The deal is that you can't unlock a Verizon card.
AT&T card can be unlocked and used in Europe, although it probably won't work as well because of different hardware settings.
I've sold a couple of machines with AT&T cards to Europe that people have gotten to work on their local networks with no BIOS mods. No one, to the best of my knowledge, has been able to accomplish anything with a Verizon card.
Hope this clears the fog that my previous posts may have left behind.

Re: Which T60 have Flexview SXGA+ WWAN (ready)?
I think I understand now. Let me make sure though:
1) If you have an AT&T card, you might be able to unlock the card itself, and use it with a foreign SIM.
2) If you have a Verizon card, you can't.
3) Swapping the card out for a different PCIe WWAN modem is always an option, but may require BIOS mods.
Am I right?
