So the tab key on my T61 broke off and cant be snapped back on. Called lenovo and they want me to buy a new keyboard (out of warranty) and cant just replace the key. Any other ideas?

It's kind of tricky, but the keys can be snapped back on. I had to do it once. See the following threads.

RealBlackStuff thanks, that is exactly what I need!

Normally I could just snap it back on but the little plastic hooks on the key have actually broken off so it won't stay even if I snap it back on.
