Hi.

I left the T61p closed, on the floor, and without noticing stepped on it for a second. On the side I stepped the display seems to have developed a couple of areas where the light is uneven, it never goes completely black.

Has it happened to someone else (hopefully not) or is there any suggestion to what I may do to try to fix this (if it's fixable at all)?

Tried to apply some light pressure on the problematic spots to see if it recovered but no good.

Sounds like you may have shifted the LCD panel backlight slighly off position. Probably not much you can do about it short of replacing the panel. Can you live with it?

Well, I could if I haven't noticed. Now I better ask someone to hit me in the head so I can forget it
