Hello lads!

I just formatted my pc and installed windows xp as usual - but this is my first install without the autoupdater :-(
And now it windows comes with a pop-up each time a reboot, and tells me about a missing driver for some pci device, with no further details.
I installed bluetooth, wifi, lan, audio, video.etc and i here is a screenshot from windows devicemanager.
Thanks in advance!

You don't even say which model of computer this is for.

I'll take a guess that you are missing the UltraNav driver for the TrackPoint and Touchpad.

Hello,

Sorry for the lack of information. It was night and I had been struggling with a virus the whole night - and ended up formatting the harddisk.
My computer is a thinkpad T61, and was born with vista bussiness.

I just tried installing the ultranavi driver, and it didn't fix it.

I've installed soundmax audio driver, nvidia videodriver, cardreader driver, lan, wlan, ultranav, Intel AMT (which i'm not sure ny computer haves), chipset, modem driver, matrix harddisk driver, ACPI Power Management, Trusted Platform Module (Atmel TPM), bluetooth and fingerprint software/driver.

I really don't know how to identify the missing driver:-(

Thanks in advance!

There is a pm device driver in the driver matrix.
I mention this one because it is commonly missed.
The fact that you have a logitech device listed causes me to suggest to you that if you have any other devices plugged
into your laptop you need to definitely unplug those until you get this sorted.
Go to driver details select the information in the box below device instance and do ctrl c to copy the info.
Then paste that here.
A google search on that string can usually give you a clue as to what the device is...

Good Luck,

Bing0

I had the same problem. All drivers installed, yet Windows complained that it found a "PCI Device" and needed to install the drivers for it.

In my case, this was the "Intel(R) ICH7M/MDH SATA AHCI Controller". The necessary drivers are in "7zim64ww.exe", which is called "Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver for Windows XP, Vista (32bit) - ThinkPad" on the Lenovo site.

Hope it helps!
