More battery life after removing pcmcia, modem & speakers?

#1 Post by ssd_thinkpad » Wed Apr 29, 2009 4:41 pm

Today I disassembled my t60 and removed unneeded:
  • speaker
  • modem
  • pcmcia,
  • and disconnected fingerprint and touchpad.
Now I notice around 1-2 watt less power consumption which is great. By removing the speaker I solved the problem for having a completely silent notebook on the road while having sound automatically enabled when docked.

That's not bad. What is your power consumption now? And have you checked if you've gained more batterylife afterwards  ?

Just want to know if it will be feasible for my X61s :) ...
