where can I buy a new T61 Trackbutton (red rubber button)?

need to replace a red rubber trackbutton and found that taking a spare from a T42/T43 did not match precisely (it kind of floats and does not come high enough over the G,H,B keys
who sells these online and where?

Go to Lenovo online. They sell them. I would give you the link but I'm on my BlackBerry. Look under trackpoint caps.

They should match perfectly. If they don't, it means you haven't installed it quite right. The trackpoint cap design hasn't change for like 10 years now (even T2x machines take the same caps).

The one you have, may be the cheap ill fitting ones sold on ebay for .99 each.
I tried those not knowing they were cheap knockoff's until I received them. They fit loose and are too thick on the top, putting a mark on the display when closed.
Here is the link for the original high quality caps. The package includes 2 of each style, a total of six for 9.99.

Just to clarify, that should NOT be taken as granted as a description of all aftermarket caps. archer6 had a bad experience, but it's not the rule. I have bought several via eBay, including ones that actually seem to be IBM ones, as well as different colors (cat's tongue) that even fit better than OEM.
