T61 processor speed?
I've just had the motherboard replaced on my T61P & the performance of the returned unit is a little erratic. I looked at the performance information & noticed that the WINSAT score for the processor speed was 4.5. I'm not positive but my recollection that before the repair the WINSAT processor score was in the low 5's (in line with the other subscores). I don't want to jump to conclusions but it has me wondering...
The unit is a T61P 6459-CTO w/- an Intel Core 2 Duo T7800 processor running at 2.60 Ghz. What kind of WINSAT score should I expect from this processor?
(What score does your T6x processor receive?)
Thanks in advance for your help.

My RAM and HDD score around 5, this is a very fast Vista system for websurfing and basic office work.
Re: T61 processor speed?
Are you having a performance issue? I wouldn't put too much stock into your WINSAT score. It's very erratic in my experience.

Yes, that's what led me to check the WINSAT in the first place. But before I go leaping to conclusions I wanted to get some sense of what is typical for this machine.FredGarvin wrote:Are you having a performance issue? I have T61p as well, the CPU is T9500. My WINSAT score is 5.4 (Vista x64 SP2)

Re: T61 processor speed?
I have a Z61p (no T61p) with T7400 and it gets 5.4 both in Windows 7 x64 and Vista x64 (SP1). You may want to rerun windows hardware assessment as it sometimes happens to show "inaccurate" scores (it´s another question how accurate windows hardware assessment tool really is...). Anyway, I would also suggest you running some some burn-in test like PassMark BurnIn as well as some benchmarking test like PassMark PerformanceTest (I´m not connected to PassMark whatsoever
) and compare the results on the web.
Hope this helps,
Marin
