prices are pretty low in Europe for thinkpads now: I paid 150 euros for an X40 1,5ghz, 30 euros for X4 ultrabase,
200 euros for a T43 ,

350 euro for a T61 high end (web cam, C2D, T7800, WXGA, Nvidia NVS140M)

3) I need recovery CD's for X40 & T43

It is an amazing thinkpad - Much better than the X31 (purchased from Bill Morrow in 2003) . I recommand this machine. I dont know what is the normal cost for it in the USA

2) T61

I called Lenovo yesterday. They said they will ship another set of recovery CD, in french, through UPS. I should receive them tomorrow. I will load them and test my nex T61;

I will report the result on this forum.

It is a Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4 GHz, 14.1" TFT active matrix 1440 x 900 (WXGA+), ... Webcam, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400, Microsoft Windows Vista Business ...... Lenovo ThinkPad T61 7665

I'm looking for the same, but i can't find any shop who have a T61 (1440*900 and a webcam)

1) I am in Paris 75004,

2) The shop where I bougght the T61 is rue aux Ours. It is not a computer shop. It is a cas converter shop. Actualliy, it is a second hand CD's shop. They did not display the 4 pcs thinkpads I purchased for 700 euros. These were hidden .

I was in the shop and sudenly , in a dark corner of the shop , in a supermarket plastic bag, I discovered what could be a thinkpad. I was a thinkpad X40 offered at 150 euros ! We dig further, a T43 at 200 euros. Again an another plastic bag , a T61 at 400 euros which I bargained at 350 euros. All machine were perfectly working like new. The T61 is garanted until 2011. They added an A31P for 30 euros, out of order, but which proved working very well once I changed battery, keyboad, etc

3) Recovery CD's
I am stil waiting for the CD's. I received a parcel last week but 2 CD's were missing. The T61 has a WebCam. It will be my first webcam in a TP

3) T61 - My opinion

Marvelous machine ! Much better then the T60P . The T61 is a more achieved machine. I love everything. I have a WebCam , I will use it soon to give lotus notes training in Paris
