Can't understand how much video memory my T60 has + HDD Q?

#1 Post by Wiking » Fri May 08, 2009 9:44 am

Hi,
Few months ago I bought my T60. I knew that it has ATI X1400 video card with 128MB.
Today, by looking in Everest program I see that it has 512MB.
How is that ?

Second Q:
My original HDD is Fujitsu 80GB sata. I want to buy a bigger HDD but don't know which one to buy. I want to have the Thinkpad Airbag system compatibility + to run it without any security problems. Which HDD should I buy ? (from 200GB-500GB)

Thank you.

It's borrowing 384MB from your system memory since you have 3GB of memory. My X1300 says the same thing.

The hard drive protection is on the motherboard and will work regardless of the drive. Th Seagate 7200.4 is the fastest mechanical drive, though they are a bit harder to find.

So, can I run games that need 512MB video card ?
I ask because many games not run good. Need I do anything to improve the perfomance (or how to improve perfomance)?
