Your watt consume

Post your watt consume with your configuration here. This way we can share ideas for improving battery life.

I start. I managed to get around 9.5 watt with battery modus, lowest brightness, no wireless, rmclock (1 GHZ @ 0.95 volt), two programs active: browser & lenovo power manager. I have a 15 inch T60 Flexview with integrated graphics.

While using wireless internet (not WWAN) it consumes around 15 - 18 watt (full brightness). It is sometimes much higher, up to 22 watt.

20.3W with compiz off
21.3W with compiz on and 26W with the brightness max'd

Seems like the GPU pulls a bit of power, no surprise there. Windows XP idles higher, 23-25W or something.

15.5W on T61p, compiz on, Ubuntu 9.04, brightness half way, wireless off and only a couple of terminals running vi for programming. So this is idling. That would give a bit over 5h on a 9 cell, 84000mWh battery.

With firefox or evolution running (same brightness and wireless still off) consumption goes up to about 23W as they wake up the cpu as hell (wakeups on powertop). Autonomy goes down to 3.5h on the same battery as above.

I get about 17W with everything off, regular brightness and not doing much.

Regular web browsing bumps it up to 20~22, mainly because of the wireless card and cpu spikes.

This is on a 14"w T61 with dedicated nvidia graphics and a T7300.
If my board was compatible I would've already started thinking about changing to a more battery friendly cpu but I guess I'm stuck with this one.

With actual Windows 7 drivers installed, I manage to get 9.5 watt on lowest brigthness and no wireless.
