C1E disabled in BIOS...?

I was trying to figure out why my T60p runs hot sometimes and one thing I noticed is that the C1E advanced halt state processor option is disabled in the BIOS, although EIST and TM2 are both enabled. There doesn't seem to be any way to explicitly enable it that I can find.

Anybody know the story behind this, or know of a way to override the BIOS? I'd really like to enable C1E state.

Says is the following article that C1E was introduced in the Pentium Extreme 965 chipset ...

So, the timing is right for it to be available in the T61...you'd really have to ask a Lenovo BIOS engineer why it may not be enabled.

well I was hoping there'd be more of a general knowledge but I guess I'm out of luck. do Thinkpad engineers wander past here much?

Have you tried the Lenovo forum? One of the Lenovo moderators on there might be able to find out.
