Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-862 firmware

#1 Post by seb123 » Tue May 26, 2009 10:07 am

Hello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T61 with a Matshita DVD-Ram UJ-862. For a short time the drive was not displayed in the windows explorer anymore, so I wanted to uninstall and install the drive. I already uninstalled it, but I don't find any drivers or firmware. Can anybody please help me?

Thanks,

Seb

Most recent drivers are included with the OS. The only recent firmware updates I know of are for the UJ-852, and it's not that recent.

There is a thread elsewhere that also refers to the drive you speak of.

I haven't seen any updates either.

Which is too bad, because I upgraded to that drive specifically to try to get the ability to record DVD-9 (DVD+R/8.5GB) to record at more than 2.4x speed, and the only media that I can find that the drive will give the option to record at 4x is low-price/junk stuff that I usually try to stay away from..

If the drive disappears from explorer again, try this registry entry:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

Go to My Computer. Right click the drive. Under properties, turn off DLA
