I need the retaining screw for the hard drive cover for a T60p 2623. Lenovo site indicates the part # for the cover is 41V9985. I'd be willing to purchase a whole set of screws or the cover and screw if someone has them. Also, if someone could recommend a reliable online seller for spare parts that's not through eBay I would appreciate it.

May I inquire as to the objection to eBay? I bought a R60 hard drive cover screw from this ebay seller and they ship worldwide. I had no trouble with them and the screw fit perfectly. I got it in about a week, which is fast for shipping from HK to the USA. Sometime it can take three weeks or more. I don't know, maybe Brazil is different. My screw is on my kitchen for somewhere and ironically it didn't show up after I placed my order as I was sure it would.

Thanks for your reply. I know people buy and sell on eBay all the time. I just prefer dealing with Forum members or a retailer a Forum member recommends. I've had some problems with PayPal and also heard some folks complain about problems with eBay merchants. I know there are good ones out there but, just prefer not to have to hassle with an unknown. The issue isn't really the overseas shipping as I have most stuff sent to a U.S. address then forwarded.

Forgive me, but, I didn't quite understand your last sentence. Did you mean to say the screw was somewhere on the kitchen floor and you didn't find it as you expected to after placing the order?

When I was upgrading my hard drive, my hard drive screw fell on the floor and was lost. I was certain it would show up if I ordered a new one, but so far it has not.
