Access Connection - Update and now ... No Networks Found

I just used the SYSTEM UPDATE on my X61s WinXP Pro system... and I think it was a mistake.

I was a big fan of ThinkVantage Access Connections... but now when I use this utility, and use FIND WLAND try to find a nearby Wi-Fi network, I keep getting the message NO NETWORKS FOUND. The Access Connection version is 5.30 Build: 6HCX12WW

I know there are Wi-Fi networks. In fact, if I use WINDOWS NETWORK CONNECTIONS... it Works!! I can connect, no issues.

I have tried updating all the various drivers, and also installed .Net Frameworks 3.5 SP1. I even deleted the drivers and re-installed. My wireless network adapter is the Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN. Driver Version 12.4.0.21.

I really liked using AC when it worked. Any suggestions??

New version of AC is buggy. Give them a month or so to fix it up.

I have gone back to using WINDOWS to manage my Wi-Fi networks... hopefully Lenovo and the ThinkVantage group can address the "buggy" nature of AC. Like I said - I used it all the time before, and it served me well.

Oh... for those who ran into the same issue after upgrading with the ERROR 720 when trying to connect to their VPN (or use a BlueTooth dial-up connection) ...

I was able to resolve the issue by following the instructions found here -->
