How to remove Fingerprint Reader and CSS

Got a T60 with Fingerprint Reader.
How can I permanently get rid of this annoyance?
It keeps asking me at bootup to enroll for FP or press Ctrl-Alt-Del for normal logon.
I do not want to use FP at all.
Can I hardware-disconnect it and/or disable it in BIOS permanently, without incurring pass-phrase?
And I also want to get rid of CSS. Can I just uninstall that without missing out on other features?

IIRC there are options in fingerprint control center (or CSS
) where you can disable "swiping" so it doesn't ask you anything (mine is disabled, and didn't "mess" with BIOS or disconnecting hardware)...
I've disabled FPR and uninstalled it's software and uninstalled CSS with 0 problems. I don't need them anymore since my TP is 99% time at my home for some time now...
But I don't use most of ThinkVantage stuff (just Power manager, TP configuration, and APS) so I really can't say if uninstalling will mess up something...
Maybe you should define what do you mean by "other features"?

i don't know if you tried that already but that have done the trick for me:
start Fingerpting Control Center (administrator rights required)
Settings->System Settings
General Tab: uncheck "Start Control Center on Windows Startup"
Logon Tab: check Standard Windows Logon
Security Mode Tab: check "Convenient Mode"
Although it does not remove it from system it pretty much makes it deactivated.
AFAIK there is not BIOS option to disable fingerprint reader but if you really want to make it disabled you can try to disconect cable conecting it and the motherboard but i have no idea how BIOS or any other software will respond to this. That cable is plugged into motherboard just beneath touchpad.

I uninstalled both CSS and the fingerprint software.
I also disabled the FPR in the BIOS.
Upon reboot I got this error message from a supposedly uninstalled program:
Client Security Solution
"There was a problem connecting to a critical service. It is possible that anti-virus or firewall software is blocking the connection. Also, check to make sure that the TPM device driver is installed and enabled."
Took me a while to figure it out, but this was it:
If you have uninstalled CSS and get that error, run REGEDIT, and remove the CSSAUTH key in
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
Hurray, no more CSS or FPR crap!
