unexpected (and unwanted) undocking

I have a T-61p; I love it except that recently I started using the docking station I originally bought with the computer but only started to use.

I don't know why but sometimes I get a pop up window notifying me that undocking is complete although I did nothing to start the undock process. I thought I might have hit some odd ley combination on my keyboard but no, this happens even when I am not using the computer.

When this happens, I lose control of my keyboard and mouse and the screen shrinks to a small size. This forces me to open the ThinkPad lid and use the little track button to close all programs and shut down. Then I remove it from the dock and wait a few minutes and put it back it. Then it works although it may still undock later on.

Does anyone have any idea how to stop this?

Perhaps your power adapter isn't putting out enough. Do you have 90w adapter? Real IBM/Lenovo?

Everything is OEM original from IBM/Lenovo. I wonder if it has to do with a certain period of inactivity although I have my power settings set to never standby or sleep.

The only time I've seen this was with an adapter that wouldn't put out enough "juice". If it is under warranty, now is the time to call. If not, see if you can find another 90W adapter to try.

There really is no adapter - just a power cord that plugs into the docking station. I presume the adapter is built into the docking station.
