Where did you get the panel? I have friends in China and live in Toronto too. Or I can take one if you wanna sell one. I will need this on my T43p with the fact that the screen cable is found from here:Akimitsui wrote:It works! The backlight bulb was shattered, which I guess is the consequence of having this panel shipped twice to get to me (first to my friend in China, and then to me).

Hmm I will see. There are the ones that cost ¥600 instead of this thing which costs ¥1100. Does the one you receive have any problems such as dusting, impression marks, uneven backlight, yellow or pink display?

Re: The Complete 6x-series QXGA Thread
My friend in China told me when he talked to the sellers that the screens priced at 600 have yellowing screen, or some other defects with the screens. They work... but they have defects.
The screen I got for 1100 is in perfect condition. The only issue was that the bulb shattered on the way here. But, the screen was heavily wrapped in bubble wrapped and well packed, so I guess I just got unlucky with the shipping.
The screens that were cheaper than the 1100 priced one were available for purchase since I was talking to my friend while he was talking to the seller. Only consider the cheaper ones if you are willing to look at a screen that has yellowed or has any other defects. I personally would just recommend the one for 1100, the screen is the part of the laptop you look at most. My friend also got the seller to sell the screen for 1000, so try offering that if you can to save a few.
