How to switch on Intel AMT on T61p?

I noticed that I have Intel AMT tray icon in my Vista Business 64-bit, but it says "switched off". The ATM function is on in BIOS, all necessary services are running properly (I can see three services relating to AMT). I can't find any utility to switch it on...

so my first question is : how to switch it on? and the second is AMT useful for home user ?

and one more question: is there any way to reset password in AMT setup bios utility (I can enter setup before system load-up but it asks for password.... have no idea what original password was...)

thanks in advance,

Yacek

Not useful at all. Better leave it switched off and remove all unnecessary services.

I thought about it, read the instructions, and decided to stay far away. Should you wish to test it, be certain you are willing to re-image your machine if it comes to that. ... JDH

The default password is 'admin' (without quotes).
