T60 crashes after install from recovery partition...

Hi,

If I reinstall from the recovery partition my thinkpad crashes at random intervals of 15 mins to 6 hours.

If I do an install from a CD (tried XP pro and Win7 Beta) its fine.

Any ideas?

To start, what are the crashes? Blue screens? Just dialog boxes? The system powering off? The system suddenly rebooting?

What is the type-model of the machine? It's on a sticker on the bottom, and should be in a format like "2007-CTO." There may also be a product ID nearby, if it's different, post that, too (for example, on my system, it's 2007WLY.)
