Hello everybody.
Do you know if there might be an blu-ray burner for the PATA ultraslim bay of T60p? Perhaps one can advise me of some OEM version that can fit the 9.5mm bay of the T60p? As I can remember, Lenovo was advertising the Blu-Ray burner for T60 last year, I have also seen it in some online stores, but suddenly these BluRays dissapeared. Now I can only find the SATA version for latest T models.
Perhaps one has a 9.5mm PATA version for sale?

I must have missed those Blu-ray drives for the T60. I have only seen them for the R6x series and the newer T & W series that are SATA.

The only available blu-ray drive from lenovo is 12.7mm high, and the part number is 39T2853
It won't fit in the T6x series, only the R6x series.
There is no 9.5 mm high blu-ray drive that I know of.

You can use the R6x with the T60, but it only works in the dock as it's too thick as others have noted. I think you're pretty much hosed on this one. There was a 9.5mm Panasonic PATA drive on Engaget a few years ago, which would have fit the T60, but I never saw it again.

There are Blu-ray SATA drives for the new T and W series that are 9.5mm but since they are SATA you cannot use them in the T60 or T61 ThinkPads. I have one in my T400. The FRU of this Blu-ray drive is 42T2517.
