T60 battery life? 14.1" vs flexview?

What battery life can I expect from a T60 with 14.1" screen?
What battery life can I expect from a T60 with 15" flexview screen?
I already own a 14.1 T60 and am debating whether i really want to move to a flexview

Well, you should already know what battery life to expect from the 14.1" screen, since you have it.
The Flexview screen does drain the battery faster, but I find the difference to be not that big. Especially since you can reduce the brightness of the Flexview screen to offset for the battery drain, and still have better contrast and easier reading than on the non-Flexview TN panel.
Another thing that affects the battery drain, and in some cases more than the screen is the video card. If you current T60 has the Intel GMA950, then the ATI X1300/X1400 in a Flexview-equipped model will shorten your battery life somewhat noticeably.
I have a T60 with 14.1" SXGA+ GMA950 and one with 15" SXGA+ Flexview X1400. All in all, on the 6-cell battery I can get around 3-3.5 hours on the 14.1", and 2.5-3 hours on the Flexview, depending on brightness. That's normal usage (surfing the net on Wifi, office work).

Here are a bit of comparisons that i collected from a few datasheets. Unless you go all extreme, i wouldn't say you notice any difference in battery life, full brightness or not.
As dr_st said, the video card is more of a culprit.

Using the 'time remaining' on the power manager on my machine (15" UXGA Flexview, ATI X1400, T7200, 320GB 7200RPM HDD, optical drive in place, running XP SP3) I'm seeing about three hours out of a just about brand new 6-cell. I'm seeing around four hours and some change out of a brand new 9-cell(zero charge cycles).
This is with wireless turned on, A OCZ Slate flash drive in the expresscard slot, and screen brightness dimmed all the way. This might not be usable settings for some but I haven't had a problem.

One's settings are the key in my book...
Theoretically, you'll get less battery life with a 15" IPS LCD than on a standard 14" one if everything else is the same in the given equation.
I know very few people who use the same settings as I do, and these are mainly some of my customers who never bothered changing them...
What works for me may be bothersome for you and vice versa...you'll never know without trying out different options and finding out which one works the best for you.

I think to some degree it depends on your needs. For Office and Internet type stuff my 14" R60 with the Hydis panel was quite acceptable, and it was nice and portable. Doing multimedia stuff was its Achilles heel. There the poor contrast and limited viewing angles on the 14" R60 made viewing movies or photos fair to middling. I don't need a ton of portability so moving up the IPS seemed like a good choice for me. Perhaps your situation is different.
