My Stupid Error: WDC Scorpio Blue BSOD [resolved]

#1 Post by ninjaronin18 » Thu Jul 30, 2009 4:24 pm

Hey, so it took me almost a week (my time after work) to figure out what was causing the random bsod's after the new installation of my WDC Scorpio Blue 500 gb. It was rather simple. Apparently, all I had to do was to install the intel matrix storage manager! Remember, don't always rely on lenovo's website. I had assumed that this driver package had installed all the components needed for a stable system. However, I noticed that lenovo's intel matrix storage manager from their website was missing the SATA AHCI Controller. The solution is to download the package from intel's website. Problem fixed!

No, I was wrong. I had another BSOD. Ran memtest, and resulted in errors. The problem must be with faulty RAM.
