Hi

I have T61 6465-CTO 15" widescreen which is not WWAN enabled as far as I can understand.

What do I need to have WWAN (not Verizon) on my TP ? WWAN card, SIM reader and antennas ? I will be very gratefull if someone could help me with exact FRU numbers and installation advices ?

You can buy USB or ExpressCard or PC Cardbus card WWAN cards. These are available for AT&T and T-Mobile, as well as Verizon, Sprint, and other carriers. For AT&T and T-Mobile anyway, you can get cards on ebay that are locked to a carrier or unlocked. AT&T and T-Mobile support the same 2G EDGE technology, but the faster 3G HSDPA runs on different frequency bands for AT&T than it does on T-Mobile's.

Can anyone recommend USB or ExpressCard WWAN card that supports 3G HSDPA and can be used in US and Europe ( I mean supports all the frequencies) ?

I like the Sierra Wireless devices. Take a look at the following webpage.

See following for more info on Frequency bands used in various countries.
