Just noted that I lost ALL system sounds ^^ and my T61p is very quite ;P

only yesterday everything was OK, but today I switched on and noted after some time that there are no system sounds... I can play wav mp3 and other formats with media player, foobar and VLC with no prob, but I cannot test system sounds in control panel/sounds aplet and settings.... I mean system does not play its factory sounds.
Any ideas what's wrong?
I did not install any new audio drivers.... test panel in audio device manager panel works nicely.... testing sounds are fine.

well... not solved yet. But seems to be connected with Roxio plugins..... most probably i deleted manually form the registry all Roxio plug-ins entries :P....
some of them were probably necessary for system sounds..... :/
for 99% there is no simple solution here... [censored] I did not make any registry backup before.. lesson learnt ;P
