HELP!!! BIOS PASSWORD

#1 Post by morpheus4boss » Thu Aug 20, 2009 9:00 am

Hi guys, first of all i want to thank you for the great job you are doing here helping other people.
Now let's get back to my problem i bought a second hand IBM ThinkPad T61 and when i got home i realized that it had a BIOS PASSWORD, i called the guy i bought the IBM from and i asked him the BIOS password, he said that he didn't know about the bios having a password and that the password was probably placed by the guy he bought the laptop from, so that means my laptop is 3-ed hand, i asked if he had the guys mobile number and the answer was NO. The question i have for you guys, is there a way to remove the BIOS password? Thank you very much.

Familiar yourself with the forum rules (see the last one): http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=14339

If the BIOS PASSWORD bothers you, then the best thing you can do is to return it to the seller.
