Just thought I should share my experience with easyserve. I sent it in on two seperate occaisions.
First one was a blue screen of death which was found out to be the hard drive. They replaced it and sent back within a week. Recent was something that started to irk me. It wasn't major, but I knew it was there. Two white spots on the lcd which had grown from a pin head size to a pencil eraser. Just two. I decided to take a chance and send it in. They were gracious and replaced the LCD.
I have so far had nothing, but satisfaction with Lenovo and I think because of their outstanding service, that I will stick with them in the future. Very refreshing from other companies who make you talk to someone all the way in India who hasn't a clue or gives you the runaround. I'm in Canada and was happy to see that I was talking to an American cousin who could understand the problem, without me pleading for them to take it in for a look, no matter how small the problem sounded. I got the laptop back and they even called me to ask if I was satisfied??? I guess I'm not used to being dealt like a real customer.

One piece of advice to owners of thinkpads after my mistakes. Always open the laptop with fingers on the OUTER edges of the LCD.
I suspect that my fingers are the culprits that caused the white spots from repeatedly opening the laptop and inadvertantly touching the screen when pushing it back.

I think the White Spots are common to LCD screens. I had two LCD screens in my T61 replaced by a Lenovo service depot here in Manila for that same reason. And I think that happened within a span of 3 months, I guess. I dunno why those White Spots emerged in the LCD in the first place.

Good thing about Lenovo, and especially with Thinkpads, is that they service your machine without asking too many questions. That's why sometimes I feel for my friends who have their laptops serviced; more often than not, it takes them a long while to get their machines back. I had a friend who had his HP laptop repaired; if I remember correctly, it took him more than a month to get his HP laptop back. The same can be said to those who own Lenovo machines but aren't Thinkpad-branded; when I happened to drop by a Lenovo store, a certain guy, who had his Ideapad (the older model I believe) repaired, the service guys were asking too many questions to him.

I just hope every computer company improve their repair/warranty services. In previous posts that I've read, the veteran IBM Thinkpad users were glossing over how things changed when Lenovo got IBM's personal computing division, specifically on how Lenovo was doing its repairs to its PCs. But for me, I guess, Lenovo's service quality is still second to none compared to other OEMs.
