Want to replace the screen,this is what i have:
whats the best screen?is 1600x1200 good?want to put whats best for this notebook.thanks,& where is a good place to pick one up.
IBM T60 2007-66U
T2500(2GHz), 2GB RAM, 120GB 5400rpm HD, 14.1in 1400x1050 LCD, 128MB ATI Radeon X1400, CDRW/DVD, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, 6c Li-Ion batt, Vista Ultimate 32bit.

Why do you want to replace your screen? Is it broken? As for the best for your machine, the screen you now have might be the best one. What is the FRU# of your current screen?

1600X1200 is a higher resolution that what you have now, but is not available in 14.1" screens. If you want/need 1600X1200, the 15" Flexview displays are the best. But, you will need to just trade machines, you won't be able to swap displays.

this t60's screen has got spots on the screen if you look on a angle.its not that big of a deal but for me want to see if its worth changing.a buddy of mine gave me this spare notebook he had.he switched from ibm to HP so he didnt need to give it back.So he hooked me up.i didnt pay for it so id figure to see if it costs much to change & to a better one.How do i find the FRU#?

Seems to be the same or can you not do this?would performance change?

I think the T4x and T6x 14.1" (4:3 ratio) XGA and SXGA+ screens are interchangeable, but I'm not 100% sure.
Someone confirm this?
