I have a t60p 2007 hooked to an external LCD and wireless keyboad.
I would like to turn it on from my wireless keyboard. I cannot find any sort of "power on usb" option in the bios.
Is there any way to power on the laptop without opening the lid?

Thanks,
Claudio

Sure, get a dock and use the power button on the dock.

mmm...ok....i should have asked for a solution that does not imply buying new hardware :)

i've seen some bios with a power on usb option, but my laptop does not have it. is there any hope for me?

cheers,
claudio

You can do wake on LAN, but the magic packet would have to be sent from another machine.

i'll second this, a dock is well worth the investment. sometimes you can find one in the scratch-and-dent section of Lenovo's outlet for a really good price...
