Hi All,
I just bought a new 12" samsung SyncMaster 2033 lcd monitor and my t61 can't display 1600x900. I know the video card can go up to higher resolutoins as I've had a 24" hooked up to it at 19xx X something resolution. Any thoughts? I've tried installing the monitor drivers no luck. It just stays at 1400x900.
Thanks, Mark

What model is your T61? It is a 7 digit alpha numeric from a sticker on the bottom of the machine. .e.g. 7668-3CU. I have that exact LCD by the way.

Have you tried
Powerstrip to add the resolution to your driver? I've never used it on a Thinkpad, but have had good results with customer resolutions on desktop PCs with both ATI and Nvidia graphics.

Is your onboard GPU ATI or Intel? If it's ATI, See the reference to the Omega driver in this thread -
