EDID for 14.1 SXGA T60
Hi:
I got a "compatible" LCD for my T60 on EBay, but it doesn't seem to work. All it displays are vertical lines (5 pixel wide, or so) of different colors and that's it. The computer does boot up, I can plug in an external monitor and it works fine, it's just the new SXGA LCD that doesn't work.
With the help of bhtooefr found out that it is likely that the panel does not have the Lenovo EDID.
Can someone please provide me with the EDID information for the 14.1" SXGA LCD of the T60? I will really appreciate it!

I am not an expert, but I believe the edid contents are unique to the screen manufacturer and model. What did your old screen do? Are you certain the problem isn't the motherboard?

Re: EDID for 14.1 SXGA T60
I'm 100% sure the motherboard is fine. I'm upgrading from a 14.1" XGA LCD to a 14.1" SXGA LCD that I got from e-bay, supposedly an "oem compatible replacement", but it doesn't have the EDID information.
From what I've been able to find, the EDID is not specific to the LCD, it is specific to Lenovo, so I just need the EDID from a Lenovo LCD to re-flash the EDID on the LCD I got from e-bay.

Do you have the required equipment? Are you sure there are EDID chips on the display (some T4x displays don't have those)?
Do you have some small tool (preferably not requiring installation) that I can use to dump the EDID? If so, give me a link and I'll give you the EDID contents of my display (from the signature T60).

One of the best tools I've found for retrieving EDID data is Moninfo. It does require installation though.

Can I simply swap out my T5500 CPU in my 1953CTO T60 with a T5600? Or my T2400 core duo in my 2623D6U T60?
