Matshita DVD-Ram UJ-842 in my T60 can burn dual layer DVD?

Hello,
I have T60 2007-AY6 .
DVD Writer > Matshita DVD-Ram UJ-842
I want to burn .dmg iso which is 6.x gb.
Does my dvd writer support's dual layer dvd burning?
My dvd writer reads dual layer dvd's for sure. Earlier I bought some 8 gb movie dvd's and they worked well. But not sure if my writer can burn a dual layer dvd.
Any1 has done this succesfully on other T60/61 series laptops?
Shall I buy Verbatim DVD or Moser bayer dvd also ok?
I am having Nero 7.x premium version installed & using Windows 7 Ultimate OS.
