Hi guys, I'm new to the forum.
I've purchased few days ago from eBay used t60p at ~c$450 (including shipping).
Wish I knew about this forum before I made the purchase because there are some great deals in the marketplace...

Anyway, I've been researching into the manufacture date for t60p and there seems to be 2006 models and 2007 models.
Judging from the "For window xp" and "Vista ready" sticker on the screen shot, I'm guessing its a 2006 model.

I was just wondering if there is any difference between buying IBM refurbished vs buying used. This guy seems legit and gave me 30 day DOA warranty and a new battery. Any thoughts?

ps. btw, I hate craiglist now because I had an opportunity to buy a decent t61 for c$400 but even after I "reserved it", some guy just went to the guy's house and bought it.

Refurbished means "anything that is called refurbished". "Factory refurbished" means it probably has some factory warranty. You can find the manufacture date from the bar code sticker on the back. There will be a model and serial number. The thing will have a format like this: "TYPE 1951-XXX S/N L3-XXXXX YY/MM"

YY/MM is the manufacture date.

Don't feel regret. IMO, T60p is better than T61 if you don't care the 3GB limit.
