WPA Issues - cannot connect wirelessly

#1 Post by Marf » Sun Dec 13, 2009 1:33 pm

I cant seem to get my T60p to connect to my wireless router using WPA.

I swapped out the Intel 3945 card for a Broadcom BCM4311(Dell Airport 1490) card, and I still can't connect using WPA, so I guess its a software issue rather than a hardware issue, as both network cards are WPA and WPA2 compatible.

I'm not sure what else to try. My old T60 never had an issue connecting to my wireless router in WPA mode. :??:

Make sure all the Windows patches are installed.

Make sure that the correct combination of WPA/WPA2 and TKIP/AES is selected both at the router and Windows. There are 4 total options and all are different.

Also make sure that the PSK option is selected and not WPA/Radius.

These are just the standard things to think about.
